Modern Arnis

 

Founded by Professor Remy A. Presas, Modern Arnis explores the relationship between weapons and the empty hand. By learning the weapon first, the student has a better grasp of the principles of movement. Kinesthetic awareness is also increased due to the use of weapons, as empty hand techniques are introduced, the student will flow with greater agility and speed.

Our organization is dedicated to following the ideals of the Professor, and teaching his art of Modern Arnis. We want to include people of all styles, for as the Professor said “It is truly the art within your art, it is not his, but yours.”
